| This thrilling game features Venom, the Spider-Man spinoff in all of his black-suited, toothy glory, and a lightning fast playfield along with some of the best original music on a modern pinball machine. From thrash metal to electrofunk, the tunes score each of the characters you can choose at the start of every ball. Each character has its own perk attributes that help the player level up, and each one physically changes the playfield, where moving mechs alter the ball paths. It's all pretty cool; the game's mechanical features also include a bell tower with swinging bell, and the doppleganger mech, which swings out during gameplay, offering up three different targets. It's a video-game style ruleset within the confines of an ultra-modern pinball machine. And, using Stern's Insider Connected online system, players can save their progress between games, just like a video game, to move toward the end to defeat knull. This is a fast, furious game with attitude, and represents a new, modern approach to the old school game of pinball. Fantastic comic-style art rounds out this amazing package. |
